EzineArticles Plugin for Wordpress – Auto Content Generator
This is the third in my range of auto content generator plugins for Wordpress. contentEZ is a plugin that displays random article content from EzineArticles on any page or post on your site.
It works on a very interesting principle that I have never seen before, prior to writing this plugin. Instead of using the EzineArticles search engine to search for relevant articles, contentEZ instead uses Google to find the relevant articles on the EzineArticles site.
Why use Google to locate the articles ?
I am sure that the local search engine on the EzineArticles site is very good, however, who better to use to find your articles than Google. After all you are trying to rank your pages on Google, so why not rather display articles that Google already thinks are the best ?
Can I control how the articles display on my page/post ?
Yes. To a certain extent you can. The plugin breaks the article up into a few separate sections – the title, the body, the author bio, and the source url.
contentEZ plugin is template driven, and you can edit a template file (a default template is supplied with the package) to specify how you wish to display these different sections. The template file is simple HTML. Editing of the actual article body itself is against the TOS of EzineArticles, and the plugin does not provide for this.
Can you show me a sample of the plugin running ?
http://digital-camera.uwantwefind.com/articles/canon-digital-camera.php is a working example of the contentEZ plugin for EzineArticles running (together with another plugin that retrieves eBay auctions called phpBay Pro) on a live site.
As you can see, contentEZ plugin works perfectly in conjunction with other “content” plugins as well.
How do I make it work on my page/post ?
It could not be simpler.
In the above example we have entered the command [contentEZ]canon digital camera[/contentEZ] onto that post, and contentEZ then goes and fetches an article relevant to our entered keyword (canon digital camera) and displays it.
Its as easy as that !!
Is it simple to Install ?
Oh yes. Its as simple as uploading the files to your /plugins folder, and activating the plugin in the Wordpress admin panel. Exactly the same process you did to install any other plugins that you have installed.
It also runs very quick, and is very light on your servers resources.
